The Yak Yak Shack has a long line of history
in the communications and electronics industry. In 1977, Jerry and Joann Weiss formed the original
Yak Yak Shack in Austintown, Ohio. In the early days, the store was actually operated entirely from
a small trailer with owner, Jerry Weiss, doing most of the repair work himself. As time progressed
and the quality of work that the Yak Yak Shack had done and their reputation for being customer oriented
and friendly spread, the business grew.
Since the early days the Yak Yak Shack had become well known as a leader in CB and stereo repair in Northeast Ohio. In 1987 Jerry Weiss decided that it would be in the best interest of the company if he were to relocate to Corning, California and expand his business to the west coast. Since then the Yak Yak Shack has continued to grow adding very well educated technicians to the staff to meet all the repair needs of their customers. For a time the Yak Yak Shack moved to Red Bluff, California before moving to it's current location. Today the Yak Yak Shack has become a very well known company, having returned to Corning, California. Excellence is their business in repair skills, competitive prices, and a knowledgeable and customer oriented staff. |
